Position and record comparison

Troy Jackson’s campaign supports Medicare for All, higher taxation of billionaires, federal abortion protection, and ending military funding for Israel. Susan Collins rejects Medicare for All and raises delivery concerns. Collins voted against final passage of the 2025 reconciliation law despite supporting some negotiations and rural funding. Jackson is the current nominee; Graham Platner withdrew.

US Populists assessment

Jackson’s goals overlap with coverage and reproductive freedom, while P04/P05 require finance and access tradeoffs. Collins’s final no vote is a meaningful departure from package supporters; it does not establish approval of Jackson’s alternative. Israel funding and the Iran-war question are separate propositions and must not share an automatic preference score.
